Description
Gajendramoksham is a very interesting subject of Hindu mythology and its very rarely finds in wood carving panel form. The scenes tell the story of Indradyumna ( son of King Tejodeva and Queen Sunandini, who was a Malava king) who had been cursed by sage Agastya and made an elephant and was sent to a forest. While taking a bath, a crocodile caught him on his leg and asked for help from his lord Vishnu Vishnu killed the crocodile and saved him by giving him his previous birth as Indradyumna.
